Whose faces are carved into Mount Rushmore?
Mount Rushmore stands in the Black Hills of South Dakota. What is so special about this mountain?
One of the biggest sculptures in the world is carved into one of its sides! The sculpture, started in 1927 by Gutzon Borglum, took 14 years to complete.
If you were going to carve a sculpture in a mountain what would you choose to carve?
Borglum chose to carve the head and shoulders of four American presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Theodore Roosevelt. The heads alone are 18 metres (60 feet) high and can be see from almost 100 kilometres (62 miles) away!
Our children's stories are a soup for the soul. A lot of them have been contributed by the very people who read them, our kids!
Our stories are entertaining, educational and fun to read.
Our goal is to encourage children to read and to strengthen the bond between a parent and a child. We believe imagination is a key to successful living, not just for children but for their parents too. So enjoy our stories, spend quality time with your family and don't forget to come back for more!
